March 2001 onwards
Insolvency Administrator and Liquidator
Assigned to various Portuguese Civil Law Courts with the aim of concluding insolvency processes and the recovery of assets from insolvent organisations.
Achievements:
Remarkable success in recovering law suits, through the approval by creditors of company’s financial restructuring plans, which allowed the payment over overdue credits in a total amount of 22 million euros.
January 1995 onwards
Independent consultant
o Definition, planning and implementation of Corporate strategy.
o Reorganisation of Administrative and Financial Department, by the introduction of innovative cost reduction processes and tax savings opportunities and to ensure that the correct accounting procedures are implemented
o Project management - execution of Economical and Financial feasibility studies, to the project set up and follow up, including as well contacts with Banks and other Financial institutions.
o Reorganisation of Commercial Department in a view of the client discipline, namely with the systematic follow up of each account, in terms of selling and payment conditions.
o Production reorganisation, through the implementation of rationalisation procedures, as with the introduction of IT solutions, as with the introduction of purchasing philosophies, "just in time" for example.

Achievements:
o Carrying out feasibility studies on projects, and implementation of four major projects to a total value 3,5 million Euros.
o Negotiation with banks and raising of short and long term loans to a total value of 5 million Euros.

RECHEIO - DISTRIBUIÇÃO, SA.
Leading company in food and household product distribution with five warehouses and cash & carries, with a turnover of approximately 38,5 million Euros and 250 employees. This company is part of the Jerónimo Martins group, shared by Unilever.

Achievements:
Implementation of procedures dictated by the group administrative and financial manual.
Assisting and auditing in the data migration from one computer system to another in order to achieve a fair price for taking over purposes.

Small manufacturer equipped with modern machinery, specialising in production of packaging for hygiene, cleaning, pharmaceutical and cosmetics' industries. Turnover of around 1 million Euros and 20 employees.

Achievements:
o Design, implementation, test and auditing of an integrated information system based in "tailor made software”.

EDILÁSIO CARREIRA DA SILVA, LDA.
Manufacturer of steel moulds, specially for injection of thermoplastic and thermoset materials for the electronics, motor vehicle, packing, toy, laboratory and medical equipment industries, with a turnover of circa 1.8 million Euros, and 120 employees. This company is part of the RAR group, shared by Tate & Lyle.

District representative and agent for distribution of franchised industrial gases from "SOGAS", and a leading importer and marketer of tools and equipment for the motor industry
Logistics Manager reporting to the Administrative Manager, responsible for the supply chain management and the distribution of over 4,000 gas bottles per month.
Achievements:
o Initiated a customer satisfaction questionnaire and achieved above average positive feed back.
